Marine Surveyor:
Maritech Commercial, Inc. (1606 Clinton Dr. 2nd Floor, Suite B, Galena Park, TX) seeks a Marine/Cargo Surveyor to conduct pre-load and load-out survey of cargo (comprising of all nature including IMDG and Heavy Lifts) shipments, prepare and submit reports upon completion of cargo shipments, and inspect loaded cargo, cargo secured to decks or in storage facilities, and cargo handling equipment to determine compliance with health and safety regulations and need for continuous maintenance. Ability to carry out pre-purchase inspections of Oil/Chemical Tankers, Bulk Carriers and Multi-purpose vessels and to evaluate estimated steel renewal and possible repairs and dry dock repair costs. Conduct vetting/condition surveys in order to confirm acceptance of vessels to time/voyage charterers. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of ship handling and latest IMO codes and regulations to enable carry out various marine surveys and or to prepare vessel for carrying out statutory and class surveys. Requirements:
2 yrs exp as a captain(Master) of an ocean going vessel or related/equiv., Master Mariner License of unlimited tonnage (unrestricted waters) and exp in investigations for damages due to chemical contamination on board oil/chemical tankers, collision, grounding, oil pollution and dock damage due to surging. |
